![]() The AKS-74U was first produced in 1979, the base model having been produced in 1974.As above, the developers at least went to the effort to model it after the prototype version, with the wooden foregrip that enclosed the off-hand. The MP5K "prototype" is hilariously anachronistic the standard MP5 was not developed until 1966, and the MP5K was prototyped in 1976, but it appears in a level set in 1963.Even the earlier MAC-10 wouldn't have been a great fit - while it did see some use in Vietnam, it also was not in production until 1970. The MAC-11 was developed in 1972, and hence is also anachronistic.A more appropriate choice would have been the Smith & Wesson Model 39, which the ASP was based on and which some US special forces (particularly the Navy SEALs) did use around that time period. The ASP pistol was designed and produced in the 70s, and so would not have been around for the assassination attempt on Castro. The Full-Auto attachment is even worse, as that version wasn't developed until 1992. Production started in 1975, hence the name. ![]()
